Email Marketing in 2025: Exposing My FULL Strategy

If you're an E-commerce business, you'll want to read this.

Many small businesses try and fail at email marketing.

I get why though... it's a hard avenue to go down.

You need to know how many emails to send, when to send them, how to write them, how much design to add, what to write about, and so much more!

It's overwhelming!

So, in this article I'll be breaking down the exact system I use on every one of my E-comm clients to sell their products.

1. When to send out an email

While there's no "best" time and day to send out an email, there are days of the week that can be better.

For example:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are better for regular customers.

But Tuesdays and Thursdays are better if you're selling to businesses or business owners.

And, there's the time.

Should you send it in the morning or the evening?

My take?

Where do your customers live?

Because, depending on the answer to that question, you might send it in the morning U.S. time where it's 10PM where your customers live.

Or vice versa.

Know where your customers are and that answers your question.

2. How many emails to send

This is a fairly simple question to answer.

If you're an E-commerce business (which is my target audience), your sweet spot is going to be 3-4 emails per week.

Going over that could cause lots of unsubscribers, but going lower than that could cause people not to buy.

We need to be strategic about it.

3. How to write emails and come up with ideas

To come up with ideas for emails, just write about your experiences.

If you're doing what I teach (to send from the founder), it should be no problem to send out an email about how you were tending to one of the products the other day and, OH there comes Johnny walking up to the counter, demanding he get a big fat refund plus a NEW product. But the catch? You JUST saw him drop your product on the floor outside your store!

Maybe that's not exactly how it went, but whatever stories you choose, exaggerate them. This article isn't about storytelling, because I go into that in this article: How to write stories for emails.

I also have exactly how to write AND design your emails in that article, so go give it a read (It takes 60 seconds). Enjoy!
