I've seen this debate a few times online, and I have to say, it's really dumb.
This is gonna be a short article today.
1. Social Media Marketing
Social media marketing is great for long-term growth... if you know what you're doing.
With the right strategy, you can get fantastic traffic with zero dollars spent!
But you have to:
• Post consistently
• Post good content
• Target your audience
• Be very patient
Social media takes a while.
But it's also better long-term.
2. Paid Ads
Advertising is better short-term traffic.
You pay to get some eyeballs and hope for the best.
But with ads you need:
• Good creative
• Good content
• Target audience
• Know their pain points
• Be very patient
• Spend money
• A/B test
Some of these you also technically need for social media... but it's not necessary.
PLUS, ads cost money. (A lot of it, if you want a good sample size.)
So, obviously, adver – I mean social media marketing is the way to go.
If you want long-term growth.
If you're fine with short-term growth and not growing your brand (as much) then ads might be the way to go.
In the end, it just comes down to preference.
