How To Increase Your SEO by 176% in 7 Days

The other day, I was looking at the weekly stat update for the website I made for the company I work for.

And as I clicked on Wix, I was shocked to see…

A 176% increase in clicks due to SEO!

But what’s even better?

They were also getting inbound leads! (3 in 1 day to be exact.) And that was just after 7 days of the new site I designed being up. It was incredible. Even better, my employer knows results are coming in because they got this badge from Google:

Anyway, my point is:

SEO still works.

You just need to know the right way to use it.

So here are 3 quick tips on how to rank your site higher on Google:

Keyword research

There’s a bot that scans your site for keywords called a crawler. This crawler looks for high-ranking keywords so it knows whether your site should be ranked higher or lower. So what I did on my employers site, was I included higher-ranking keywords in places that it made sense. That way, it looks like it was meant to be there, but it also pushes the site out to more people.

2. Design.

If your design is crummy, the crawler can’t read what’s there.

Before I revamped the website, it was unclear what was going on. Pictures were out in the open, random graphics were everywhere, and overall, it was a designer's worst nightmare!

So I redid everything.

I made it minimalistic, got rid of the graphics, changed the jarring animations, and let it breathe.

The result? The crawler could read the site… and 50 clicks in 14 days.

3. Backlinks.

There’s a thing called backlinks where if you put links to your site in other sources, it ranks your site higher on Google.

So what I did was I started a blog on their site, and when it arose, I put links to their home page in each blog post, so it’d have a higher SEO rank.

Now that you’ve learned the basics of SEO, you should know that it can be difficult to implement this.

Especially if you don't know the ins-and-outs of how SEO really works.
